Academy of Our Lady inducted 12 students into its chapter of the National Honor Society Oct. 27 at the annual NHS Tapping ceremony. To be a member of the National Honor Society students must maintain at least a 3.75 cumulative GPA at the beginning of sophomore year and have taken either two honors or dual enrollment courses from 10th through 12th grade; actively participate in at least two clubs; perform quality service hours in accordance with Religion Department guidelines; and have no major discipline infractions and teacher recommendations.

PJP II’s Michelle Hasenkampf earned a 5 on eight Advanced Placement exams and is a 2017 National Merit Semifinalist. Archbishop Rummel High School’s Student Council plans an annual Back-to-School dance for students and girls from area high schools. This year’s “dress as your favorite superhero” dance in the school gymnasium attracted about 1,000 students who spent three hours dancing, talking, and catching up with friends.
