The Serra Clubs of New Orleans honored 79 boys and girls as Altar Servers of the Year for 2019 with a Mass and banquet April 2 at St. Rita Church, New Orleans. Individual parishes selected the Altar Servers of the Year from their respective communities. Archbishop Gregory Aymond celebrated the Mass and presided at the awards presentation.

Academy of Our Lady’s bowling team was undefeated with a 4 and 0 record defeating Mount Carmel Academy, Crescent City Christian School, Albany High School and Salmen High School after a third of its season competing in the Louisiana Invitational Baker Tournament held in Baton Rouge The team took on nine of the top schools in the state in a seven game match which led to the girls winning the tournament.
