SHERI SALVAGIO has been officially named president and CEO of Cabrini High School by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Cabrini High School’s board of trustees. She has been interim president since June 2022. Salvagio has more than two decades in Catholic school education and administration, holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of New Orleans, a master’s degree in religious education and bachelor of arts in psychology from Loyola University in New Orleans. At Cabrini, Salvagio has implemented innovative technology that has increased productivity, efficiency and effectiveness in constituent management and communication and has implemented new programs such as the Prayer Ministry, where intentions can be acknowledged and prayed for each day, thus bringing the Cabrini community together through prayer daily. Salvagio employs a proactive approach to problem solving while using data to inform and drive decision making.
XAVIER UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA’s Board of Trustees received the John W. Nason Award for Board Leadership from the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB) for demonstrating exceptional leadership and initiative. The board was recognized for its contribution to several strategic initiatives to improve the lives of Xavier students and further elevate the legacy of the nation’s only Black and Catholic institution of higher education.
