HOLY NAME OF JESUS PARISH presents a talk by Dawn Eden Goldstein, award-winning author of “Father Ed: The Story of Bill W.’s Spiritual Sponsor,” May 15,  6:30 p.m. in the church, 6367 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans. The book chronicles Jesuit Father Edward Dowling, who opened his heart to Alcoholics Anonymous members and other people with problems, including couples in strained marriages and people suffering from mental illness.

ST. BENILDE PARISH, “Route 60: The Biblical Highway” will be shown, May 17, 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria, 1901 Division St., Metairie.
