Sister Frances Barfield, O.P., 90

Adrian Dominican Sister Frances Barfield, formerly known as Sister David Therese, died in Adrian, Michigan, on Sept. 19. She was 90 and served for 73 years in religious life.

She ministered in the Archdiocese of New Orleans at St. Francis Xavier, Christ the King, St. Cletus parishes and at Chateau de Notre Dame.

A vigil was held Sept. 26, with a Mass of Christian Burial on Sept.  27 in Michigan. She was buried in the congregation cemetery.
